Brief: Illustrations for a report into older people in the workplace. Illustrations must be plainly career-related. and neutral in tone.

Illustrations allow us to avoid using overly gender, race or age-specific photography (especially since workplace stock photography so often features very youthful models.) The continuous line style is a particularly good way to keep that ambiguity, as well as a giving it a fresh clean look.

The illustration syle contributes hugely to the overall look and feel of the report: the cover features silver foil illustrations on a deep orange background, and a continuous line runs throughout the inner pages, developing into illustrations where required.
